Service Overview

Professional Solutions Built Around Your Needs

If you are tired of unreliable municipal water, high water bills, or rationing, a borehole gives you independent, reliable access to your own groundwater.

Bosch Water & Engineering delivers complete borehole solutions for:

  • Residential Homes – Family water security
  • Farms & Agriculture – Irrigation and livestock
  • Schools & Institutions – Reliable campus supply
  • Commercial & Industrial – Large-scale water needs

We are known for our speed and precision, often completing a comprehensive borehole in as little as 2 days.

Why Professional Siting Matters

A borehole is a significant investment. Drilling in the wrong spot means wasted money and no water.

Research across Sub-Saharan Africa consistently shows that borehole siting without professional hydrogeological surveys results in failure rates exceeding 50% in many geological environments. The UN Development Programme and World Bank-funded Community Water Supply Project specifically investigated whether hydrogeological and geophysical site investigation techniques are justified through higher success rates of drilled wells. Their conclusion was unequivocal: the application of these techniques is justified because deficiencies in water supply programmes are often caused by inappropriate location and design of the wells.

In Kenya’s arid and semi-arid lands, unassessed sites succeed only around 60% of the time. Even where groundwater is successfully intercepted, sustainable production is not guaranteed. One Nigerian basement terrain study found that although all forty-one boreholes encountered groundwater during drilling, only thirty produced sustainable yields. The low-yielding boreholes were associated with poor fracture connectivity and limited aquifer thickness despite the presence of water-bearing formations.

The Water Resources Authority (WRA) of Kenya requires a hydrogeological survey report for borehole permits. This includes aquifer yield estimates, expected depth, and environmental impact considerations.

The cost of a professional survey is a fraction of the cost of a dry borehole.

How We Work

Our Process

We handle every stage of your project under one roof—from survey to pump installation and beyond.

Step 1: Hydrogeological Survey

We use site reconnaissance, electromagnetic (EM) methods, and resistivity profiling to locate groundwater with precision. This includes mapping rock structures, identifying recharge zones, and analyzing Kenya’s three main aquifer types.  Rates start from Ksh 35,000.

Step 2: Drilling & Well Construction

We drill using air rotary, cable tool, or rotary methods suited to your geology. Every borehole is completed with casing, screens, gravel pack, sanitary seal, and a concrete apron. Well development maximizes yield by clearing drilling damage. Complete drilling starts from Ksh 6,500 per meter.

Step 3: Test Pumping & Water Quality Analysis

We verify sustainable yield through step drawdown, constant discharge, and recovery tests. Water samples are analyzed for pH, TDS, iron, bacteria, and fluoride. Costs range from Ksh 70,000 to Ksh 170,000.

Step 4: Pump Installation

We select the right pump based on Total Dynamic Head (TDH) and safe yield (75–80% of tested capacity). Trusted brands include Grundfos, Lowara, and Pedrollo. Pumps are positioned outside the screened section for proper operation.

Step 5: Ongoing Support

We provide rehabilitation, maintenance, and emergency repairs. Common failure causes—poor siting, over-pumping, clogging—are prevented through proper design and timely service.
